This is one of those amazing stories that you just want to share with everyone. On this particular weekend I travelled to Egg Harbor Twp to do a shoot for Lexi. This was such an inspiring story that I took my daughter along with me. It's not every day that you meet a 21 year old who will shave her head to raise money in the fight against childhood cancer. Her fundraising goals started modestly and it wasn't long before she had to raise the bar... over and over again. It was a real testimony to how cherished this young lady is by her friends and family. On the day we went to do this shoot, it was easy to see why. So that first image of her throwing her head about was the perfect way to start... once more flinging her locks about before it all came off!!! We wrapped up the morning session to drive over to the event site. A full parking lot, tons of people everywhere hugging and sharing stories, green St Baldrick's posters plastered everywhere. Lexi sat with a row of other brave souls who were there to go bald and go green! Little by little, those lovely locks went away! She was amazingly brave and not a tear was shed! On the way out we snapped a couple of quick images and then went back to their home for round two of her session with the new look! She wore it incredibly well! This was an amazing shoot with an amazing girl. My daughter who has near waist length hair couldn't believe Lexi didn't cry and commented on how brave she was and how beautiful, even without hair!
