Fall Into Art ~ Creative Africa

Innovation and tradition come together in a celebration of African art and design in the Perelman Building.

At the Philadelphia Museum of Arts’, Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building, five exhibitions covered an array of works from artists throughout Africa. Contemporary photography and fashion, architecture and sculpture dating back centuries. 

Textiles, carved woods, ritual figures, bronze sculptures and more were on display during the five month exhibition. There was an immersive schedule of programs, talks, family friendly festivals and performances culminating with the Fall Into Art party at the Perelman. 

The after hours Fall Into Art event in the Skylit Atrium included an open bar, food, silent auction, and performances by the African Drum and Dance Troupe from the University of Pennsylvania, African Rhythms.
